Why would I need a virtual tour?
Competitive Advantage!
Virtual tours give your business a competitive advantage by exhibiting visual content that sets your property apart from others! Be ahead of competitors that don't have virtual tours!

Quality Assurance!
~Travel~ Give travelers the assurance they need that you offer quality accommodations! Virtual tours help people select places to stay, shop, and entertain. By viewing a virtual tour they can feel confident that they will be satisfied when they arrive-no surprises!

Save Time!
~Real Estate~ Virtual tours save agents walk-through time when home buyers and relocating businesses can choose to see only the properties they really like. Prospects can go through the selection process at their convenience, day or night, and they are more likely to choose a site they can pre-qualify by viewing online.

Get More Listings!
~Real Estate~ Agents can get more listings by offering virtual tours to all sellers who list with them.

24 Hour Advertising!
Your virtual tours are accessible 24 hours a day to promote your business!

Do I need to have a web site to show a virtual tour?
No. Tours will be hosted by virtualtourproductions.com for one year. You can e-mail tour links to your prospects or print the links on promotional materials. Visitors will be able to find your virtual tours at our web site by entering a virtual tour #. Virtual tour hosting can be extended on an annual basis for only $30.

Are all virtual tours the same?
No. Like us, some virtual tour providers use images with a full view from ceiling to floor all the way around. This immersive feature is a more powerful and enriching feature for the viewer. Other providers use different technology that cuts off most of the ceiling and floor. Additionally, our virtual tours do not require any special software or plug-ins to be downloaded in order to view the tours. We use a Java based technology which comes standard with the more popular operating systems.

Why should I choose your service?
Because Virtual Tour Productions can give you the virtual tour features you need! Virtual Tour Productions offers high quality visual content for each virtual tour scene. Show the whole sky or ceiling and show more ground or floor with our spherical images. A virtual tour should include more than a cylindrical panoramic view or collection of still photos. Along with all of the features we offer with our virtual tour packages, you get the assurance that you will be satisfied with your tour!

How do I prepare for the virtual tour photo shoot?
Hide everything! Spacious, clean, and brightly lit rooms show the best. The property should be as free from obscuring decorations and everyday objects as possible. Here are some tips of things to look for:
Check that all light bulbs work and each tour room has available lighting.
Clean mirrors, windows, and shiny surfaces.
Clear off table arrangements, décor, and clutter in each tour room including desktops (i.e. everything but the computer), end tables, dressers, and nightstands.
Hide kitchen countertop appliances, dish strainers, soaps, sponges, and items around sinks.
Hide toys, clothes, laundry baskets, and move large plants out of view.
Remove small area rugs.
Close closet doors.
Make beds and straighten furniture cushions.
Remove toys from floors and yards.
Hide trash cans and litter boxes.
Limit seasonal décor if the tour is to be used year round.

Bathrooms will not normally be photographed unless there are special features so this is a good place to hide stuff.

Keep in mind: If a scene is to be shot in the front of the house, avoid scheduling on trash day and remove cars from the driveway and front of the house if possible. Remove toys, strollers, and other personal items from the yard as well.

For safety and security, homeowners are responsible to secure pets and all valuables during the photo shoot. Additionally, owners and agents are responsible to ensure that the property is in sufficient condition for shooting by the scheduled time. The virtual tours will not be re-photographed due to condition of the property. The photographers are not permitted to clean up or move items at the site.

What is the tripod cap?
The tripod cap is a graphic image inserted into the scene to cover the location of the tripod. For commercial virtual tours the graphic image can be customized to include the company logo or it may be removed if specified prior to photographing the scenes. Removing the tripod cap and the tripod from each scene requires additional photography and processing and cannot be accomplished post-production.
